It has become much more evident over the past few years, with the highly publicized food-born illnesses that have come about, that there are necessary steps that need to be taken in order to ensure the safety of our people.
Restaurant owners are taking very large risks, and one way that has been come up with to minimize the danger is to encourage, and in many cases, require that all fool handlers take training courses about food safety.
In many cases where food-born illness has been a problem, it could have been easily avoided had everyone been properly education and practicing proper food handling techniques. With the online training course provided by Food Safety Institute of America you will understand the possible risks and outcomes as well as how to prevent them.
Our food safety course is structured to help you learn, not only in your career, but throughout your life, how to properly handle and prepare food.

This prep course allows the student to be fully prepared to take the food handlers exam at the completion of the training! Upon completion of our training you will be given a list of approved card providers.

Special Notice: California
To allow time for the clarifications to be adopted, the stakeholder group and CCDEH recommend that from July 1, 2011 until January 1, 2012 enforcement of the law will be limited to education and notification of requirements for compliance. All local enforcement agencies are urged to adopt this approach to the California Food Handler Card Law implementation and to notify regulated facilities accordingly.
In order to obtain a California Food Handler card outlined in the new requirement students must contact an ANSI-CFP Accredited Food Manager Examination provider below AFTER COMPLETING OUR TRAINING COURSE. You will be notified upon completion of the course where to take the test to obtain your card.
You must obtain a food handler card within 30 days of hire. The law states that food handlers hired prior to June 1, 2011 must obtain a food handler card on or before July 1, 2011. Food handlers hired on or after June 1, 2011 have to obtain a food handler card within 30 days of the date of hire.
