California Food Safety Training

State Requirements
Each food facility shall have an owner or employee who has successfully passed an approved and accredited food safety certification examination. The certified owner or employee need not be present at the food facility during all hours of operation.

Certification Renewal - Every 3 years

Special Notice
You must obtain a food handler card within 30 days of hire. The law states that food handlers hired prior to June 1, 2011 must obtain a food handler card on or before July 1, 2011. Food handlers hired on or after June 1, 2011 have to obtain a food handler card within 30 days of the date of hire.

This prep course allows the student to be fully prepared to take the food handlers exam at the completion of the training! Upon completion of our training you will be given a list of approved card providers.

LA County Hospitality Package

California Food Handler's Safety Training

This course will take you through the fundamentals of food safety. By the time you have finished this course you should have a better understanding of what food-borne illnesses are, how they are caused, and what you can do to help prevent them.

Los Angeles County Certified Food Handlers Permit

This course supports all those who are preparing for certification as a Food Safety Manager/Handler. This certification is a benchmark for the food industry and part of a global standard in food safety education. The Los Angeles County Learn2Serve course includes the required curriculum on Preventing Storm water Pollution and Tuberculosis, including locations of TB testing sites.
